Black Ops 6 Season 3 Roadmap Has Been Revealed

News

Black Ops 6 was released at the end of last year in October and has enjoyed a steady stream of dedicated players due to its interesting campaign and ofcourse its multiplayer. The game featured some movement innovation that was long needed to revitalize the series which was the omnimovement system. Activision have recently released the roadmap for season 3 of Black Ops 6 with new Maps, new features and new visuals.

The New Maps

Activision released the roadmap and all of the new content that will be available on the 2nd of April. Players will get to experience 3 new maps, those being Barrage, a new 6v6 map set in Vietnam in the year 1968. It is a military base that has been hammered with multiple bombardments that have opened up unexpected pathways and there are multiple points for Snipers to pick off those who get caught off guard in the open spaces.

The second map being featured is called Nomad, it is a settlement that was transformed into a base of sorts with missile carriers and weapon caches strewn about. The buildings are now abandoned with ruin archways and holes where walls used to be. This map also features a tower with a zipline for players to quickly climb up and claim the coveted position as a sniper.

A fan favorite is coming back with the return of Firing Range from Black Ops, Black Ops 3 and 4. The map hasn’t been changed at all so that players can re-experience the joy of playing the map as they did in the previous titles. It is a training ground of sorts with moving targets and many spots to pick off enemies from the other side.

New Perks And Scorestreak

Two new perks are being added to the game, those being Close Shave and Vendetta. Close Shave allows players to use their dedicated melee weapon, this swaps hitting the enemy with the butt of their chosen weapons which is the default.

Vendetta is a perk that marks the last known position of the players that killed you last, killing this player awards bonus points but the Vigilante perk counters this. Both of the perks that are mentioned are rewards that are unlocked through play.

There is a new scorestreak for players to wreak havoc with which is the death machine, players can wield a minigun for some time, mowing down anyone who comes to challenge the wielder in front. It is unlocked for 825 points in a match and is also an event reward.

Progressing The Zombies Storyline

Zombies enthusiasts can rejoice as a new map is being featured for season 3, Shattered Veil furthers the storyline from the last map as the crew had acquired the Sentinel Artifact and are now tasked with meeting S.A.M in an abandoned old Mansion that has be fortified to withstand the zombies horde.

They must unlock the powers of the Sentinel Artifact and use it to bring back Agent Maxis, but of course they will face various obstacles in the way such as facing a new type of enemy called Elder Disciples who can empower surrounding zombies and spawn more to throw at the crew.

Another new type of enemy players will have to face is the toxic zombie who glows a radiating yellow and will charge at players before exploding into a toxic cloud of smoke. Players will have to hear for their distinct shriek and pick them off before they get close.

Players will also get access to returning iconic weapons which are the Raygun Mark 2 and the WunderWaffe DG-2. Both of which have enough firepower to eliminate the hordes of zombies that players will have to face on each round.

Content Galore For This Season

There is a lot of new content dropping across the Black Ops 6 multiplayer side of things and also in Warzone. Warzone is getting 6 new unlockable weapons 4 of which will be available at launch. Two assault rifles which are the Killo-141, CR-56 Amax and the iconic sniper rifle HDR are the ones being featured.

There will also be new operators, tons of skins and weapon attachments for players to experience on April 2nd. Overall season 3 of Call of Duty is shaping up to be another amazing content drop for its growing playerbase.

The season is sure to attract new players who are wanting to experience the action and intensity that the franchise offers and that too with new weapons, maps, skins and of course an interesting story development for zombies enjoyers.
