The new Xeneon brand monitors are Corsair’s new by into the monitor market, which has been congested with different offerings with the goal of bringing the quality and performance gamers get with their components to monitors as well. The 34WQHD240-C stands at the top of that first tier of Xeneon displays, which uses Quantum Dot OLED (QD-OLED) panels to deliver truly lush color vibrancy and contrast ratios in an ultra-wide and high 1440p resolution. Over the last one week, I’ve been using this fantastic screen and as you can see, it is worth it.
Appearance

Laying our hands on the 34WQHD240-C for the first time, it draws peoples’ attention with a massive 34-inch curved display which is bordered by some of the slimmest bezels I’ve ever seen. It is made of dark gray aluminum, and it has a quite gamer looking while it offers extremely stable support for the monitor. Installation of the monitor is easy – the stand clicks into the back of the display securely and there are no screws – just a hole in the stand.
On the back I/O’s the connectivity options are 1 HDMI 2.1 port, 1 DisplayPort 1.4 and a 2 port USB 3.2 hub. On the rear, there is also the down firing 12W speaker. There are solutions for cable management: the devices have a clip on the stand so that all the cables remain organized on the working table.
Display and Picture Quality
Well, let’s discuss the main stage – that luminous and beautiful 34-inch 3440 x 1440 QD-OLED panel here. Staffed a quantum dot filtration layer and OLED backlight, it combines the levels of contrast and the precise control of individual pixels typical of OLEDs with the intensity and richness of hues provided by quantum dot technology.
Even face to face, the picture quality is just fantastic. The first thing that comes to notice is simply how black can truly be, due to OLED per pixel light management – monitor showing black truly is black, there is no haze, or light, in it. This results in a visually perfect contrast ratio of practically Infinite for outstanding HDR visuals. The spec sheet isn’t lying when it claims 1,000,000:1 contrast.
The next thing that is visible is well saturated and accurate colors. The QD-OLED panel reaches 99% of the P3 color gamut and 89.5% of Rec. 2020, which means the images displayed are incredibly vivid and have a huge amount of oversaturated color. As has been ascertained, quantum dot tech excels in matters colour and when incorporated into OLED it goes up a notch. Colors in everything from games to videos appear as if enhanced for greater brightness.
Gaming Performance
Of course, all the Corsair branding and the premium specs of this display are here for a reason; the Xeneon 34WQHD240-C is a gaming monitor. The definite screen size of 34” with ultra-high resolution of 3440 x 1440 imparts an unprecedented visual experience and the maximum refresh rate of 175Hz when merged with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, which renders lag-free, tear-free gaming experience. There’s still input lag, which is measured at an impressively low 0.03ms and for those who enjoy playing games competitively, the feel of the Z2 will not disappoint.
To test this monitor, I played multiple games from colorful single-player games, such as Elden Ring, to competing multiplayer FPS games, and the monitor performed perfectly. And that high contrast and HDR performance really helps the blacks to pop (or, conversely, become pitch black) while wide color improves everything and makes it look more vibrant. The ultra wide format provides a lot more immersion in single player titles when compared to medium to high width formats. Of course, with the pixel response as fast as lighting and the high refresh rate everything stays buttery smooth and responsive during the multiplayer.
Features and Settings
Corsair has included some cool display settings and software interconnectivity to get the best out of the monitor. The menu from where most of the settings such as brightness, contrast, colour temperature, etcetera is easily located and adjusted are located onboard. There are also five picture presets for gaming – three FPS ones, an RTS one, and an RPG one. The majority of the user will be happy with the default settings, which are ready to play as soon as it is unboxed but it is useful to have such profiles for different types of gaming.
As for the extra flair, in Corsair’s iCUE software, you are able to manage both the back and bottom RGB lighting on the display. There is also finer option selections available for things such as RGB levels and gamma curves, if, of course, you wish to really tweak the picture. It’s good to know that most of us won’t have to adjust beyond the controls offered inside the plane.
Verdict
The Corsair Xeneon 34WQHD240-C combines a great, contemporary display technologies and gets it just right with the build and the elements that we now look for in Corsair products. This results in the most eye-popping, fully-realized gaming display that I’ve seen – bar none – to date. Pitch black OLED provides an almost unlimited static contrast ratio for outstanding HDR punch, and quantum dot contextualizes the completely saturated and very accurate colors. Highs such as the 175Hz refresh rate, the low response time, and FreeSync also create fluid gaming experience.
Pricing remains the big issue; and typical OLED issues; in terms of pricing Konami’s $1999 a premium gaming LCD that limits what you can do, and that ought to be more than adequate in terms of handling any game that comes along. Though OLED burn in has been reduced in the present generation OLED panels, any screen image set to static for long periods poses a long-term threat. For those who can afford and are willing to navigate around caring for this premium OLED panel, the Corsair 34WQHD240-C is a fantastic gaming monitor that exemplifies all the wondrous capabilities of QD-OLED. This pioneering display places the Corsair Xeneon line at the Premier league standard that has me looking forward to what they offer next.
