The iRobot Roomba s9+ is currently the latest of iRobot’s robotic vacuums and comes packed with the latest features and high suction power for an effortless clean. In terms of its features such as the advanced mapping system, the self emptying bin and the elegant look, the Roomba s9+ is created to be the perfect cleaning partner.

 Design and Build

The Roomba s9+ has a D-Shaped design that makes it easier to clean corners and edges as compared to other round robotic cleaners. The design of the device is quite elegant and contemporary and the materials used in the construction of the device are very good. The vacuum has several sensors which help it detect furniture and other obstacles and how to clean around them for maximum coverage.

 Cleaning Performance

With a suction power of 10 times greater than the standard Roomba and a 3-stage cleaning process, the Roomba s9+ is capable of picking up dust, dirt, hair and pet dander from both carpeted and non-carpeted surfaces. The vacuum has the PerfectEdge Technology and a corner brush that makes it reach out to the corner of the house and other tight spaces.

All the aching areas are cleaned properly. As with all Roomba models, the s9+ recognises different surfaces and boosts its suction power when it finds a carpet to clean.

 Smart Mapping and Navigation

The Roomba s9+ has smart vSLAM navigation that means it creates maps of your house so you get line by line cleaning rather than circle cleaning. The vacuum can be controlled with the help of the iRobot Home app where you can set cleaning time, mark off the areas that are off limits for the cleaner and even create cleaning paths for different parts of the house. This means that the vacuum has a capacity to learn and improve with the layout of your home hence becoming efficient in the process.

 Self-Emptying and Maintenance

The Roomba s9+ is equipped with the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal system that enables the vacuum cleaner to dispose of its contents into a bag that can store up to two months’ worth of dirt and dust. This means that you only need to communicate with the vacuum every few weeks, which means it is extremely easy to maintain. The vacuum cleaners filters and brushes are also easy to remove and wash for long lasting use.

 Smart Home Integration

The Roomba s9+ is also capable of integrating with smart home systems such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant and can begin and pause its cleaning cycle through voice commands. The vacuum can also be connected with other smart devices like the smart lock and smart lighting thus making it possible to have a scheduled cleaning regime that suits your schedule.

 Pros:

It offers powerful suction and has intelligent edge cleaning for better cleaning of edges.

Low maintenance self-emptying bin

Smart mapping with the possibility of dividing the areas into zones for cleaning

Works with Smart Home devices

 Cons:

High price point

Larger size may have problems with narrow places

 Conclusion

The iRobot Roomba s9+ is the best robotic vacuum cleaner available in the market, as it boasts of the best cleaning ability and smart functions, and it is also self-emptying. Though it is expensive, the features and functions it provide make it a worthy product for those who want to maintain cleanliness in their house without much effort.
