After their recent release in the Indian market in early October, Samsung has now officially launched its two latest tablets from the budget-friendly Galaxy Tab A-Series for global audiences. These tablets, named Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 and Galaxy Tab A9 Plus, have been introduced to cater to the daily needs of users, whether it’s entertainment or multitasking on a larger screen.
TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics, expressed, “We believe everyone should experience the latest tablet technology, and these new additions to the Galaxy Tab A-Series make it easier for users to engage with the entire Samsung Galaxy ecosystem.” His statement was made official on the SamsungNewsroom page.
Design-wise, both the Galaxy Tab A9 and A9 Plus look quite similar, but they do have unique features that set them apart, allowing users to choose according to their preferences.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Specifications:
Display: 8.7-inch LCD with WXGA Plus resolution (1,340 x 800) and a 60 Hz refresh rate.
Dimensions & Weight: 8 mm thickness; 333 grams.
Processor: Octa-core CPU with a maximum clock speed of 2.2 GHz (specific chipset not disclosed by Samsung).
Memory & Storage: Available in two variants: 4 GB & 8 GB RAM, and 64 GB & 128 GB storage. Users can also expand storage with a microSD card up to 1 TB.

Processor: Shares the same octa-core CPU with 2.2 GHz clock speed as the Galaxy Tab A9 (specific chipset not disclosed).
Memory & Storage: Comes in the same memory and storage configurations as the Galaxy Tab A9.
Additional Features: Enhanced 7,040 mAh battery, 5 MP front camera, and Bluetooth version 5.1.
Both the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 and A9 Plus are available in Graphite, Silver, and Navy colors. While the Galaxy Tab A9 offers both 4G and WiFi models, the A9 Plus is available in 5G and WiFi versions.
As for the pricing on the global market, it has not been officially revealed. However, in India, the prices ranged from approximately $175 for the base Galaxy Tab A9 WiFi model to roughly $290 for the top-tier Galaxy Tab A9 Plus with 5G.
