Samsung's new 9-1-4 soundbar

Samsung unveils its latest additions to the Cinematic Q-series soundbar lineup for 2020, introducing the HW-Q950T and the HW-Q900T. Completing the lineup, the HW-Q950T boasts a 9.1.4-channel configuration, setting a new standard for home theater systems. With wireless upward-firing surround speakers and a subwoofer, this soundbar promises a powerful and immersive cinematic experience.

On the other hand, the HW-Q900T supports a 7.1.2-channel system, featuring a soundbar and subwoofer. Noteworthy is its enhancement over the HW-Q90R, with two additional channels on the left and right, offering an even more dynamic sound profile that syncs seamlessly with on-screen action, enhancing the overall viewing realism.

Both the HW-Q950T and the HW-Q900T support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, delivering exceptional sound from all angles. The inclusion of HDMI eARC allows for the display of advanced bitstream audio formats. When connected to a 2020 Samsung QLED TV, Q-Symphony enhances the audio experience by seamlessly integrating the top speakers of the QLED TV with the soundbar, creating a distinctive acoustic journey.

In addition to audio enhancements, Samsung has refined the design of these soundbars. The height has been reduced to 69.5mm, ensuring a perfect alignment with the TV. Finished with Kvadrat textile fabric, these soundbars not only exude a premium aesthetic but also optimize sound penetration.

Tonnie van Schijndel, Senior Marketing Manager TV & Audio at Samsung Benelux, highlights the collaborative effort with the Samsung Audio Lab in California to develop a multi-dimensional sound experience. This involves not only enhancing sound quality but also refining the design using eco-friendly textiles from the Danish premium brand Kvadrat.

Both models come equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity and SmartThings, enabling users to effortlessly enjoy their favorite music through Spotify Connect, Deezer, or TuneIn, even when the TV is turned off. The Tap Sound function allows for seamless music playback from a smartphone directly to the soundbar with a simple tap.

In conclusion,

Samsung’s new 9-1-4 soundbar is a game-changer in the realm of home entertainment systems. With its immersive Dolby Atmos technology, sleek design, and intuitive features, it has significantly elevated the standard for soundbars. It’s not just an accessory but a necessity for anyone seeking a high-quality home cinema experience. The product’s undeniable quality and value justify its price point. Don’t hesitate to invest in this revolutionary sound system – your movie nights will never be the same again!
