Season 1 of black ops 6 with warzone is set to kick off on November 14th with a whole lot of new content such as returning maps and new maps as well, returning game modes, new weapons and new zombies experiences in-game.
Black Ops 6 has been one of the most successful launches in the franchise’s history and these warzone additions are gonna no doubt bring in more players for Microsoft. Activision themselves did state that they had the biggest success in launch for Black Ops 6 in terms of number of players, downloads and total matches played.
What’s The New Content
The new map for season 1 is called Area 99 and will be available in warzone’s resurgence mode, but Urzikstan will be the battle royale mode still and it will be the map for the Plunder game mode. Area 99’s lore as per the X(Formerly Twitter) page of Call of Duty states that it is the birthplace of Nuketown, one of the most iconic maps from the Black Ops franchise.
Black Ops 6 itself will receive 3 new maps which are Hideout, Extraction and Heirloom all three of them will be available in 6v6 game modes and Heirloom will also be available in 2v2 game modes as well.
When the season starts off, players as mentioned will get to use the omni-movement system but along with that their level’s will reset to 1, to sort of rebalance the field when new players join. Black Ops’ prestige system will also be featured in Warzone this time and may contain the rewards that come with the prestige system in Black Ops 6 standalone.
Guns, Guns And More Guns
When the season starts on November 14th, players will get access to the loadout system that was introduced in Black Ops 6 where you can have global loadouts for various game modes, along with attachments now only giving pros and only affecting the gun statistic relevant to the attachment.
All of the guns from the previous games like Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops: Cold War are returning along with the Black ops 6 guns being added, thus players will be able to acquire more than 170 guns and 150 operators at launch. The launch will also include two new weapons which are the Krig C an assault rifle and Saug a submachine gun.
Players will also have to unlock the new operator that is coming, her name being Sev who is hunting down the names from her Hit List that are connected to the criminal underground, Sev is present in the Black Ops 6 campaign and her new look is looking vastly different from her style in the campaign.
Players will also get new weapons in a “mid-season” style release as their X page stated, they will get 3 new guns to play with along with 2 new melee weapons to cleave enemies with. The guns themselves are Maelstrom (shotgun), AMR Mod 4 (assault rifle), Sirin 9mm (special), Power Drill (melee weapon) and finally the Cleaver (melee weapon).
Along with mid-season gun releases players will also get new attachments such as dragon’s breath for shotguns, new stocks for assault rifles and the ability to change fire rates from automatic to burst fire for some of the guns.
Call Of Duty May Be Returning To Its Old Roots
This new season will no doubt with the reset will not doubt bring in new players and give something new to grind for veterans of the warzone side of Call of Duty. All of the new features that are being announced are all designed for players to rediscover their playstyles and get as creative as they can get when creating their loadouts.
This new season of warzone no doubt will break records or atleast break even for the number of players who will tune in to play as Black Ops 6 is available day 1 on Xbox game pass. All in all it seems Activision knows what direction to take the Call of Duty franchise to keep their players interested and at the same time showcase something to get new players interested to play or atleast try it out.
