As we all know that Bigby Wolf is a gruff sheriff of Fabletown who investigates the world of Fabletown. The game is based on episodic format and branches out according to players choices.

Bigby Wolf carries the scar from his past live and he finds himself in an awkward position. Due to some violent altercation Bigby Wolf is suspended of his Sheriff Duties and forced to seek some professional help.
However, Bigby stumble upon a new threat. He meets a non-fabled human being named Faye. Faye is another detective who has a puzzling case on hands. Moreover, the case is about a murder in connections with Fabletown. Of course, this makes Bigby Wolf detective senses go off the radar. As a result, he is forced to navigate through this case while maintaining the balance between human world and Fabletown.
Familiar Faces, New Threats
Most details about the plot remains under the wraps. We all know that Bigby is returning with his troubled past and inner darkness. Of course, Snow White is making appearance again as a romantic interest with a significant role.
The gaming community are trying to figure out who is the central antagonist. The official trailer gives a hint that it might be Dorothy Gale. Dorothy is the classic heroine of “The Wizard of Oz” but in this game Dorothy will have a darker side to her. However, we don’t know yet if she will be the main villain.
A Story Reforged: New Engine, New Challenges
Of course, the developer of this sequel had its own struggle. The game was initially supposed to release back in 2023. However, Telltale took more time and delayed till 2024. The decision was made because the developers wanted to avoid crunch periods. Secondly, the developers wanted to switch to Unreal Engine 5.
The first game used Unreal Engine 4 so the sequel will definitely see a promising upgrade in visuals and storytelling. Due to this decision many parts of the game needed rework. As a result, the delay took place but the developers promise a polished finished game.
