Arozzi Primo

Chairs

Arozzi Primo

Pros

  • Neck Pillow included. Back pillow is integrated into the backrest.
  • The seat is comfortable and provides more than enough support – after a long day, and having it for a longer period. (a few months to be exact)
  • Tilt mechanism to lock the chair in place whilst leaning backwards
  • 4D-arm rest

Cons

  • The Arozzi Primo pricing is a little less comfortable, for 399 euros it’s not a cheap chair

Unboxing

After my previous reviews of the Vernazza and Verona XL+ we will now have a look at the Arozzi Primo.
AROZZI PRIMO

Of course the Arozzi Primo is packaged neatly as we’re accustomed to from Arozzi.

AROZZI PRIMO

The backrest of the Primo is looking great. The red stitching and carbon finish on the side is a treat for the eyes. Arozzi is one of the few manufacturers that just puts their logo on the headrest without adding their name. Giving a clean and sleek look.

AROZZI PRIMO

AROZZI PRIMO

Obviously, it’s not an Ikea chair, but it’s quite a DIY kit. Thankfully it goes quite fast. After a full 8 hour workday you’ve got comfort to sit on! Minus a few hours 😉

The aluminum chassis on the bottom looks clean. A real sight to behold! The clever thing about the chassis is that it’s flat, so you can rest your feet on it as well. Many other chairs in the market prefer to go for a bent chassis. Which is less than ideal to rest your feet on. And in my opinion, it’s the small things like this that contribute to a comfortable chair, or sometimes, the opposite.

If the chassis is in place, the gas spring can easily be affixed followed by the covers around it.

AROZZI PRIMO

Arozzi doesn’t affix anything to the bottom of the Primo. A few other chairs that I was able to review normally come with one or two armrests already pre-installed. This is not the case with the Primo, so it’s a little bit more effort to get everything together. But on the flipside, the box is a lot smaller than other brands that are available.

AROZZI PRIMO

The armrests are 4D, so choose your perfect configuration.

AROZZI PRIMO

When the bottom rest is neatly screwed in place, you can easily slide it onto the gas spring.

Top tip of the week, and I swear by this now, put the backrest against a table to make it easier for yourself to get all the screws in.

Caps to cover..

AROZZI PRIMO

Bit of glue…I mean…Caps on and everything is looking neat!

And alas! we have a chair..
The chair truly looks clean and sleek. No weird coloring that intertwines with each other. This chair is also suitable for ‘office work’. A white blue RGB chair would be a weird look in a Microsoft Teams meeting…But this is a whole lot more professional!

Like I mentioned, the chair can go quite far backwards. It’s important to lock the chair in place if you plan to recline, or else you’ll have a meeting with the floor. (But this counts for every chair with the same options.)

The exact system that allows you to fix the chair in place, can also be used to lock the chair in place whilst reclining, and from personal experience, that’s quite comfortable if you want to rest your feet on the desk.

Conclusion

The Arozzi Primo has been used by me for a little over 5 months. During these months I’ve been able to use this chair daily. And it’s given me a lot to smile about. And I can hear you thinking, how can a chair make me smile?! Well to put it simply, the Primo is very comfortable, even after a long 9 hour day behind a laptop. The wide bottom rest is firm, and after a few months, it continues to be firm. So you could say, wait for it…The quality is Primo!
Badumtss…

The backrest is great, due to it being equipped with an ‘internal’ support, which you can adjust by a button. Furthermore, the backrest is also wide, giving support to your back, shoulders and head. And of course they’ve included a neck pillow, completely optional to use, or not. Personally, I’ve never used neck pillows.

What I really like about these kinds of chairs is the tilt mechanism and the 4D armrest.
That way you can configure the chair in the way that is perfect for your comfort. Do you want to recline just the slightest amount? You can make that happen by locking the chair whilst reclining a bit. Fully reclining is also completely doable. And I can definitely remember some meetings that go on and on and on…Wanting to rest my feet on the desk, reclining backwards, and that is entirely possible. Or whilst watching a movie, or even taking a small power nap. All of the above, is possible. And once again, watch out that you lock it, instead of freely reclining all the way, because you WILL meet the floor…

The Arozzi Primo is a great gaming/desk chair in my opinion. There’s more than enough options, and it ensures you don’t look like the hunchback of Notre Dame at the end of a workday or gaming session! And that is worth a lot.

The finish/final touches of the Arozzi look fantastic. They’ve used good materials, and the PU-leather feels great as well. The chair is firm, and even after intensely using it, it’s got a good as new look.

At a price of 399 euros the Arozzi Primo could be yours, and I must confess, that’s a lot of money. But I can also tell you that it is definitely worth it. But once again, it’s quite an investment. Still, the chair is great. The pillows are comfortable and look neat, and you’ve got a plethora of options available.

So my review ends with giving the Arozzi Primo 4 out of 5 stars. A ‘Primo’ chair for a realistic price of 399 euros as of writing this review. If the chair ends up lowering in price, it definitely earns that last star! A great chair!
