Introduction
Chairs to sit, yes.. You generally think these are not very interesting objects, but if you sit on them for 8 hours a day, it becomes a different story. As a reviewer, I have now been able to review a lot of products, including a lot of office chairs. Yet this always feels neglected. And I like to tackle that too. From Hinomi I received two seats, the H1 Pro & H1 Classic. The weight capacity of both models is the same. However, the H1 Pro offers a wider range for height adjustment, providing versatility for users of different sizes. The Classic is for the wider among us.

Unboxing & Assembling
The Hinomi H1 Classic & H1 Pro both come in a separate box, and they’re not that light either. With a small 25+ kilos, you know that you have a seat that can take a bit more – and yes I also tested that by just sitting on it after a half jump. Weert loves me…
Let’s start with the H1 Pro.
I can guarantee you, once the chair was put together and I could actually sit on it, I looked like that too.
In any case, Hinomi packs things up well.
What is also special is that the chair is shipped folded up. Normally you get a loose backrest and loose seat, and that’s where you have to do it. In this case, it’s a single unit.
Of course, a gas spring and wheels are included with the chassis. There will also be an allen and 2 ‘spare’ screws in a box that is much too big. Why these are not included in a bag, I have no idea. After all, that saves material.
Time to push in the gas spring and lift the seat on.
The H1 Pro can be adjusted in different ways, from the seat to the height and the backrest. However, it is also possible to adjust the lumbar support, the headrest, etc.
Yes, this is also a slightly different chair than your standard seat. This one has a leg rest. A what? Yes… a support for your legs.
And this is noticeable, the caps come loose. These are glued and after a while/after sending or the like, this dries up a bit and comes loose. And that, unfortunately, just stands out. That detracts a bit from the quality of the chair. Where, for example, harder plastic caps – which are pressed in place – would be better. Fortunately, it’s not immediately visible, but it can be a big problem if you have young children in the house – who will eat anything they come across, for example.
Of course, a headrest is also included. However, it must be fastened yourself. But that’s not a very hard job with two screws. 😉
By the way, there is also a flap at the back of the headrest, which is included in a separate bag. Do you still understand? I think it fits best in that box… 😉
So, the chair stands and is complete. It’s unbelievable how many options this chair has. From adjusting the backrest, armrests and headrest, you can also lie back in the chair.
Hinomi H1 Classic
Time to take care of the classic. Is it that extensive?
Funnily enough, the material here is in a different packaging than the H1 Pro.
The instructions are super clear, but that’s also the case with the H1 Pro. However, there is no booklet that explains everything about ergonomics.
The H1 Classic is also a real package with plenty of parts.
This foot is also sturdy, and that’s really nice. In addition, I really have to admit that the H1 Classic has a very nice foot that also has a kind of support for your feet. A lot of other brands don’t have that, so your foot is constantly slipping off the foot.
The wheels of the H1 Classic, like the H1 Pro, are fine. However, I also know brands that supply larger wheels, and that rolls really well.
Time to put in the gas spring.
The backrest must be slid into the seat area and screwed into place.
The armrest can be adjusted in a number of ways. For example, it can be turned inwards, neutrally or outwards. In addition, the entire armrest can also be adjusted in height. As a result, like the H1 Pro, the chair can really be adjusted to your liking.
Here too, the caps come loose, which looks a bit sloppy.
There is one lever on the right side and two on the left. These take care of securing the seat and adjusting it in height.
Really everything can be adjusted to these chairs, which is really a huge plus.
Probably a somewhat badly taken photo, but fortunately the chair can be reclined with the backrest, which gives you a more reclining position. What is really great is that the backrest also provides very good support. A friend with a herniated disc felt immediate relief when he sat back in this chair. Time to put on the neck support.
The material is airy, which is nice. Especially during long sessions, or in warmer times, it is nice to be able to ventilate a bit.
Hinami H1 Pro vs H1 Classic
Well, and then it’s time to really compare the two. And yet you do notice a difference between the Classic and Pro. The asking price does differ between the two. The Pro just has more options, and that’s not a bad thing at all. I have to admit that the Classic is really good, but the Pro just has more options, and is therefore my favorite. So if you’re just looking for a good ‘basic’ office chair with a good seat, the Hinomi H1 Classic is a good choice. If you have a bit more budget and want to get the most out of it, the Hinomi H1 Pro is a very good choice.
Conclusion
In my opinion, the Hinomi H1 Pro and H1 Classic are office chairs of a very high level. The only thing that really disappoints me in terms of quality are those faint caps that come off and stick out. For the rest, in my opinion, they are just very good chairs. They are wide, strong, and durable. The seats ventilate well, and… They are also ergonomic. These are chairs that are ideal for gaming, working, and … just sit down.
In the time that I sat down on these chairs, I noticeably sat upright. The gaming chairs from the other manufacturers are designed more – that’s how it feels to me – to hang out a bit. And the ergonomics of these chairs benefit your back, posture and legs. For example, these chairs cannot be as flat as the gaming chairs from the other manufacturers. And with that, this is really an office chair. I don’t dare to say anything about what the gaming variants of Hinomi are like.
Back to these chairs. The fact that the H1 Pro, for example, has the option to extend a leg rest is really hilarious. I haven’t seen another office chair pass by yet. And I have to admit that I think it’s quite nice too. This way you can happily get through those endless Meetings. You have to be careful that you put your microphone on mute if you also fall asleep. To snore through a meeting. it could happen to you. 😉The Hinomi H1 Pro gets 4 out of 5 stars, and so does the H1 Classic. Both are very well priced and have a ton of options. I subtract 1 star from the average because of the finish with the caps, which come off. And that… That’s a bit sloppy.
Nevertheless, I’m in a good position… And I’m still smiling. Until the next review!
